Ursula Plaisance

Currently serving as the Executive Director of Helping Hands of Kilgore since 2016.

Ursula was born in New Orleans, La. and raised in South Louisiana, growing up in a deeply religious family, learning at an early age to help others.

Ursula has been married for 32 years to Dudley Plaisance, Jr. together they have two children, Eric, and Courtney and son-in-law Rusty and together they have four precious granchildren, Alexander (Xander) and August, and Kelbi and Kensley.

In 2003, the family moved to Kilgore where her husband, Dudley pastored Pirtle United Methodist Church. Where he recently retired July 1, 2020.

Ursula’s career has been in the legal profession, Louisiana state politics, healthcare, public relations, marketing and serving her community, working with charities, non-profits and philanthropic organizations.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, shopping, movies, spending time with friends and family and making a difference in someone’s life every day! Giving Back to my community and helping those in need are important to me!
